CD Projekt studio released the game Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020, and it is now significantly different from what it was at the start. The developers have already announced plans for a sequel, which is currently in the early concept stages. Igor Sarzhinsky, director of storytelling at CD Projekt, said in an interview that CD Projekt wants to see the evolution of Cyberpunk at the level of The Witcher. According to Sarzhinsky, the developers have more ambitious plans for the new Cyberpunk. In the case of Cyberpunk 2077, some ideas were implemented right before the release in 2020, and some were done correctly only with the latest patch 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty addition. This became an important lesson for the studio, which it has taken into account in the sequel.
