Following the end of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, production on the Mortal Kombat sequel has resumed. Actor Karl Urban, who plays Johnny Cage, shared a new photo from the set featuring co-stars and revealing the MK2 logo and Jax Briggs' name. Urban expressed excitement about the cast's return. Filming, initially paused in July due to a strike, has now resumed. Mortal Kombat 2 is directed by Simon McQuoid and written by Jeremy Slater, with no official release date announced yet.
